Tipsy beyond belief and I have to work a mid tomorrow. Ugh. Screen blurry. How did I drive home? How is it one o'clock? Why did Brian steal my car? Oh wait, he was putting gas in it.
I've contacted most of you dear readers in person already, but for the ones who I don't have current phone numbers for, I have some exciting news to share. On October 29th, I became engaged! Yup, after almost five years, he finally popped the question.
In other news, I've began my DSL shifts at work in earnest and am plowing my way through my workbook. Even managed to have a conversation about wanting to go into management with the RD and the GM yesterday. My GM seems to think that I will get hired, because we are opening two new stores in the region within the next year. Huzzah! A steady income!
I just realized that I haven't posted anything since July. While this is probably due to the fact that I work pretty much every single day and I'm totally exhausted I figured I'd give everyone a quick update on life:
Brian and I went to the lake just after Labor Day for a relaxing and semi-romantic vacation. There was much hot-tubbing, swimming, jet-skiing, shopping, barbequing, horseback riding, etc.
Work has been going really well lately. I won employee of the month for September (finally) and I did my very first DSL (Dining Room Shift Leader) shift this last Saturday and another one on Sunday. I'll probably be taking over Sunday nights permanently because the current DSL is starting to feel burnt out. Understandable, she works even more than I do.
Other than that I've mostly just been hangin out. Went to Oktoberfest in Soulard and the Highland games this last weekend. By the way, how weird is it that the first sun burn I've had all year I got in October? Also been sick for the past week which has kind of sucked but I am feeling a little better today.

I'm currently in Vancouver, WA where it is abnormally hot. Kind of glad I missed all the storms. In case you were worried, my house is fine and I think we were among the lucky few to retain power. The only damage we had was to our tree out front but Brian thinks he got it fixed up. Anyway, hope people are fairing better than they were yesterday and I'll be back late Tuesday night.
Brian and I just prepared our first meal at the new house. And by prepared, I mean, with multiple ingredients and stuff and not just popping something in the microwave or oven. I have to say, it was a success. Possibly one of the most delicious soups I have ever had (its called Peasant Soup), we got it from the Rachel Ray 365: No Repeats cookbook. If you are interested in the recipe, drop me a line and I will let you borrow it. Simply fantastic.
Anyway. We started moving in stuff on Thursday after we closed. We spent this morning and afternoon priming the basement because the guy who owned the place before us decided to paint it bright orange and blue. Ick. Yeah. Going to be there all day tomorrow too, and a whole bunch next week. If anyone wants to help paint or move stuff, etc give me a ring. For right now, I have to go make myself look like I haven't been working all day cause we're going out for karaoke. Huzzah!
I know I haven't posted in a very long time (say two months) but I have some very exciting news to share. A couple of my readers already know, but for the rest of you...I'm purchasing a house! If you are interested in pictures and the like click here although I don't know how much longer the site will be up because we are closing on thursday.
Anyway. There's my exciting news, I've got to go do stuff now. Ciao!
In case anyone was wondering: I'm alive. I've got a cold which I thought was the flu but its not so that's good. Anyway, no time to post right now, just thought everyone should know.

And this is a picture of my parents' cat, he's adorable:
Sadly, I had to work last night, but Brian and I are going out to dinner tonight to celebrate. Should be yummy. Right now though, I need to get ready for work since I'm out of food and need breakfast.
I'm completely frustrated with people. Ugh. They are just so stupid sometimes and yet everyday (except Saturdays and Sundays), I get up, go to work, deal with their shit, come home, sleep. Then sometimes I'm not at work and I have to deal with people's shit. I'm tired of it, leave me alone, no more shit dumping here. Thank You.
